Amazingly this is hand embroidered with silk shading and took Kate Barlow over 140 hours using more than 50 colours to complete this complex piece of work. She started working in the theatre, specialising in costume but in 2013 she started training as a professional hand embroiderer and tutor at the Royal School of Needlework. This card shows just a detail of the whole work.
