There was a fashion at the turn of the nineteenth century to dress up cats, only they weren't alive, rather gruesome but Wegman has subverted that style with his dressed up Weimaraner into an extraordinary photograph. Where does the dog end and the human start, those are not doggy paws, neither holding the tote bags nor on the ground - almost reminiscent of Japanese bound feet on block sandals.

Questions questions - whether you like or dislike is not the point, it makes 'Have you got your shopping Bag?' a whole new thought. That earnest face makes me laugh.
